The Library was officially opened in March, 2011.
Strathpine State School library houses a collection of over 17000 resources for use by teachers and students including books, DVDs , posters, reference and computer software. New resources are purchased each term to ensure that we have up to date resources available.
The library is used daily by classes for borrowing, reading stories and working in small groups. During lunchtimes the library is open to children as a space where they can:
Play games
Read books
Draw
Use construction toys
The library houses a comprehensive range of home readers, class readers and hands on equipment for use in classrooms. We also have access to a green room which can be used for create videos and short films.
The library hosts a number of lunch time clubs such as Lego, Robotics and Friendship Club.
