The Strathpine State School P&C Association meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm in the staffroom. All parents/caregivers are encouraged and most welcome to attend. Meeting dates are advertised in the school newsletter.
Our
school is based on very sound relationships with all stake holders. Our
Parents’ and Citizens’ Association is an integral part of our school and is the
formal process for parents to be involved in the decision making process of the
school.
The functions of our P&C Association are
·
fostering community interest
in educational matters;
·
trying to bring about
closer cooperation between the parents of children attending the school and
other members of the community, staff members of the school and students of the
school
·
if asked by the
principal of the State instructional institution for which it is formed or of
its own volition - giving advice and recommendations to the principal about
issues relating to persons who receive educational instruction at the
institution
·
if asked by the
principal of the State instructional institution for which it is formed or of
its own volition—giving advice and recommendations to the principal about the
general operations and management
·
giving, or assisting
in the giving of, financial or other resources or services for the benefit of
persons who receive educational instruction at the State instructional
institution for which it is formed.
The P&C has a large mail box which is located inside the school office, for
parents to drop in messages, notes, etc.
Please consider joining the P&C and make your voice heard. The meetings are the ideal place to exchange ideas and opinions in a relaxed setting. It's the place to get to know what is happening in our school and to become involved with your child's education.
